I have spent years inside the machinery of pet travel, and I have watched the same word disappoint the same people in the same ways in every market I have looked at. This site is where I document it.

Everything here is built on public, primary sources: regulatory texts, government enforcement actions, peer-reviewed research, published surveys, and the industry's own price lists. Where a figure is an estimate, it is marked as one. Where I state an opinion, it is signed. No advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored anything.

The argument of this site is simple. Vague labels protect bad operators and punish good ones, and the fix is not a nicer word. The fix is definitions, published policies, and independent proof. Any hotel can be honest about what it offers. The word "pet-friendly" is what lets them not be.

Who publishes this

This project is published and edited by Guise Bule, who works in dog friendly travel and has spent years reading hotel pet policies, fee schedules and the fine print behind the label. He also runs a hotel certification business, which is his declared interest in this subject: this site is the argument for why independent verification should exist. The opinions here are his own and are signed as such. Nothing on this site is sponsored, and no complaint reproduced here was solicited, commissioned or paid for.
